Which influence is stronger: religion’s influence on the environment or the environment’s influence on religion?

Hmm. I think with a bit of research you could make an argument for either. I would look at the class references and see which way they tend to be leaning. For example, many religions restrict what can and can not be eaten. This will cause changes to the environment in the form of what is harvested, herded, etc. On the other hand, many religions have had prayers for the good harvest, etc., but the historical source of a successful farm was environmental. Saying which is the bigger influence would take more than I know off hand.
I have many examples for both sides, but I have to write a position paper about it. I just don't know what the answer is. It's really hard to choose which has a stronger influence.
You usually pick in a position paper. The goal is to pick a side and defend it. Another good tactic would be if you have a counter argument. Show where people disagree on this and admit that is is hard to say which has the greater influence.
Ok that makes sense. thanks
