OpenStudy (anonymous):
A thin plate has the shape of an isosceles triangle 5m wide at the bottom and 3m high. If the plate is submerged vertically in water with the top vertex 4m below the surface and the bottom edge horizontal, find the total force against the (two sides of ) the plate. I think I can solve this, but the (two sides of) the plate part is confusing me. My answer right now is 22.5wN (w = density of water)
