i will give a medal.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

The average over the five years, would just be the sum of all the $ amounts, divided by the five years.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

I thought it already showed the increase of 3% per year...

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

This doesn't make a lot of sense. Why do they list different $ amounts per year, if you're supposed to adjust for inflation?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

I'd post the original question, because that seems odd.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Do you multiply each year by 1.03? ^^

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

"I need to find out the average cost to attend this school per year at a 3% increase for inflation. The year for: " ^that doesn't make a lot of sense, though.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Do you multiply each year by 1.03? that's how.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

But the question doesn't make sense. Are you meant to find the average, or find the average adjusted for inflation...?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Okay, then do as you said.
