***Please please help!! I give medals!! Faith observed 26 bugs while doing research for her science project. She observed insects and spiders, which had a total of 168 legs. Bearing in mind that insects have 6 legs and spiders have 8 legs, how many insects did she observe? 17 18 19 20

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

your answer is 60 insects because 20x6 =120 then your remainding amount of spiders is 7 so multiply 6xamount of legs spiders have which is 8 then that =48 add the 2 amounts together and you get 168 an easy way to guess at how many legs the insects would have is to plug in the answers

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

so your answer is 20 insects
