Ryan went to the store to buy a CD. The CD was on sale for 10% off. If Ryan paid $13.50 for the CD, what was the original price of the CD?

Take 10% of 13.50, and add that to 13.50. So, 0.10x13.50=1.35. 13.50+1.35=14.85. The original price of the CD was $14.85. Make sense?
