OpenStudy (annie96):

How many solutions does this system of equations have? y = –2x + 3 y = –2x – 1 (Points : 1) 0 1 2 infinitely many

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

y = mx + b when m=slope and b= y-intercept when the slopes are the same for a system of equations, then the lines are parallel and when the lines are parallel, they never intersect, therefore have no (0) solutions. but be careful, because if they end up being the same equations then (since they overlap each other) it would be infinitely many solutions

OpenStudy (annie96):

Ok thank you.

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

you're welcome :)
