@robtobey Is their any other way, i thought you added them up to 180 then solved for x?

The sides of a triangle are not angles, they are lengths, therefore, their sum are probably not 180 in the general case. 5x+7<(8x-4)+(4x+1) 7+5 x<-3+12 x x > 10/7
