explain the difference between a work of art intended for documentation and one intended for commemoration. how can a work of art intended as a documentation become also a piece of commemoration?

documentation- provides specific and official information, serves as records
commemoration- more of a rememberance (sometimes in ceremonies)

these two could go together  (i wouldnt call this a work of art but its my best example) the declaration of independence is official information. it serves as a record of when we started to gain freedom. but it is also commemoration because we celebrate fourth of july in honor of declaration of independence and freedom. even though the declaration of independence wasnt signed that day, people most associate it with that particular day.
