combine like terms (4a^2+8a-3)+(5a^2-4a-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a^2-4a+5 a^2-4a-5 9a^2+12a-5 9a^2+12a+7

first you have to take it out of parentheses. Which leaves you with 4a^2+8a-3+5a^2-4a-2 and then you combine like terms. And then it would be 9a^2+4a-5
