I'm confused . :/

OpenStudy (ranga):

JM and KL are parallel. Therefore, angle KLM = angle JMN = 38 Angle JML + + JMN = 180 (because it is a straight line) Therefore angle JML = 180 - angle JMN = 180 - 38 = ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that equals 142 .. so 142 is the correct answer ?

OpenStudy (ranga):

yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you help me with one more ?

@ranga

OpenStudy (ranga):

go ahead.

The isosceles trapezoid ABDE is part of an isosceles triangle ACE. Find the measure of the vertex angle of triangle ACE. I keep getting 45 but it is not a choice .

OpenStudy (ranga):

angle BDE = 115. Therefore angle CDB = 180 - 115 = 65. Because it is an isosceles triangle, angle CBD = angle CDB = 65 In triangle CBD: angle C + angle CBD + angle CDB = 180 angle C + 65 + 65 = 180 solve for angle C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

65 + 65 = 130 . 180 - 130 = 50 ?

OpenStudy (ranga):

yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ranga can you help me with one more ?
