Which of the following cleavage types occurs parallel to the bottom surface of a crystal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There are two types of Bond cleavage heterolyic and homolytic. Since you were asked about a chemical reaction and that if the product is a crystalline its safe to assume that we r dealing with a salt product and we know that salt is an ionic compound metal + nonmetal. Then we can deduce that heterlytic bond cleavage would be the answer because homolytic is dealing with covalent bonds and the atoms split it covalent bonds equally as oppose to heterlytic is when all the you have a shift of its bonds.
