You can rule out A and D. C horizon is also called as the parent material in which it is consist of pre-existing sediment.

Sorry, you can rule out B and D. @LostInSchool , not really. Anyway, the answer given here is quite vague as it does not detailed what is C horizon itself. C horizon should be made up by weathering processes and normally accumulates rock sediment. It is also unaffected by soil-forming processes and have the lowest biological alteration.
