Pretty simple question.. help?

Edie can paint a wall in 3 hours. Dan can paint the same wall in 6 hours. If they work together, how many hours will it take edie and dan to paint the wall?
a. 1 hour
b. 1.5 hours
c. 2 hours
d. 4.5 hours

well first you want to make a ratio (1/3)=(1/6)
now cross multiply (1*6)/(1*3)
you get 6/3
divide
6/3=2
so it takes 2 hours to paint a wall
