Prediction 1: If the starting population of the prey is higher than the predators, the carrying capacity of the seals will be............................. than the carrying capacity of the whales.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

HIGHER OR LOWER

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

who is d prey and predator of those? u have an idea?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

NO BUT WHT IS THE carrying capacity

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

The carrying capacity of a biological species in an environment is the maximum population size of the species that the environment can sustain indefinitely, given the food, habitat, water and other necessities available in the environment.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I THINK THE PREY IS THE SEAL AND THE PREDITORE IS THE WHALE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

HELLO

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

umm..wait let me think...i also got a lil confused:P

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

carrying capacity is max no of animals an environment can carry...so if the prey no is high then they have a lower carrying capacity....as they already have a lot of population no chance of increase....

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

this is what i think...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SO THE THE ANSWER IS LOWER

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

i guess...sry not very sure...
