OpenStudy (highschoolmom2010):

how do I find the base of a cone

OpenStudy (amistre64):

its a circle ... one end has a circle, the other has a pointy thing

OpenStudy (highschoolmom2010):

ok so if I have |dw:1386395565718:dw| how do I find what the base is

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the base is the circe at the bottom .... look for the circle :/

OpenStudy (highschoolmom2010):

i get that but what is the VALUE for the base ^^

OpenStudy (amistre64):

value of what property about the base?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the properties of a circle are: radius circumference area center all of these have "values" that can be associated with them. the circle itself has no "value"

OpenStudy (highschoolmom2010):

I figured what it wanted thanks @amistre64 it wanted the area

OpenStudy (amistre64):

area we can do :) assuming 12 is a radius measure

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i used to get mixed up between area and circumfrence, since they use the same "elements": 2, pi, r but since area is a ^2 value: area = pi r^2
