OpenStudy (brinazarski):

Find an equation in x and y that has the same graph as the polar equation. r(2 cos θ − 3 sin θ) = 6

OpenStudy (brinazarski):

i thought it was y=(2x-6)/3 But apparently not....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know the polar equations? r=ysintheta? r=xcostheta?

OpenStudy (brinazarski):

isnt it x=rcostheta y=rsintheta

OpenStudy (brinazarski):

@Knivez

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

...hmm I get the same :|

OpenStudy (brinazarski):

That's strange...

OpenStudy (brinazarski):

"(For a line, enter your answer in slope-intercept form. For a parabola or a circle, enter your answer in standard form.) "

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

right, this one is a line

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

so your answer is the same I got

OpenStudy (brinazarski):

what's stranger is you have to plug in numbers into the equation and im doing that and getting the right answer but it wont accept the equation O_o

OpenStudy (brinazarski):

I GOT IT. It too y=2x/3 -2. -.-;;

OpenStudy (brinazarski):

thanks for your help though :)
