Which of the following characteristics of the Arctic rabbit is specifically an adaptation to living in the tundra? A) Small Size B) Keen eyesight C) Strong Legs D) White Fur
Small size; the rabbit will lose less water because of it surface area: volume ratio.
D) White Fur For camouflage against the snow :)
Note the name *Arctic* which refers to snow
Oh just to add on the fur is also thick to protect it against cold :)
The question is asking about the Tundra, which is the desert. Not the snow lol
The Arctic Tundra will have snow during the winter so the Arctic rabbit turns white and when its summer it rabbit will be brown just like any other rabbit . Normal rabbits don't turn white in snow so yea.
Tundra is tree less plain @oOkawaiiOo and @MistakesOver. There are two types of tundra out of one is artic tundra. So it's white fur for camouflage from predators like artic owl.
