Editors. It would seem some of the more advanced users seem to also use Latex outside of OS. I get that I can just head down to the various tutorial sites and learn. In short, what are your preferred editors?
XD
I prefer TeXstudio I am sure more advance users, use editors that are more customizable, but TeXstudio works just fine on me, so I'm fine with it. Also the community with it is quite active. Best thing is, it has TikZ support so I can use it to make pie :3. Oh yeah, Wikipedia also has a chart of some TeX editors out there so here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_TeX_editors

i use Texshop on my Mac, i haven't tried any other tex editor , texshop works alright, there are some minor problems i sometimes have, but it works great most of the time
I use Texmaker as my front end editor, and it is multi-platform.
Oh, and for quick equation I can put into anything I use: http://www.codecogs.com/latex/eqneditor.php
Bookmarking that second link. Just what I needed :D
I'll throw this out there as well. If there's a symbol you don't know the \(\LaTeX\) command for, you can go to this site ( http://detexify.kirelabs.org/classify.html) and draw it to the best of your abilities. It will then provide you with a list of TeX commands that best match your drawing (and information on what packages you need to have in order for them to work [with that said, some of the more complicated commands won't work with MathJax]).
@ChristopherToni Put a space after URLs, or it adds the next character... so your http://detexify.kirelabs.org/classify.html link won't work on a click. Also, I have found them to be very picky. It wants a very good looking bit of art to find the character a lot of the time. =/
