College algebra
I've just finish highschool algebra, how to help? :)
It might be easier to do this backwards. So first of, how do we find how far it's gone when the height is 0? Well, just plug in 0 for your height, and solve for x. This is a quadratic, so you should get 2 different x-values. This might frighten us, which answer is correct? Well, just think about it! There are actually two different times that it is at the same height, when we first shot it and when it landed! Now, where's the highest point? That's right in the middle between when we shot it and when it landed. So how do you find the point between them? Just average them, and plug in that x-value to find the height! Easy peasy. Interestingly, calculus would make this an EVEN EASIER question to answer, because calculus is awesome.
got the point @AmTran_Bus ?
