Which line is perpendicular to the line y=3x/4+7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Perpendicular lines have negative reciprocal slope. Find the slope of the line (slope is m when the equation is in the form y=mx+b), and then "flip it" and make it negative. New equation will be y=(-1/m)x+b

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

y = 3/4x + 7 slope here is 3/4. A perpendicular line will have a negative reciprocal slope. All that means is " flip " the slope and change the sign. So the slope given is 3/4 and the slope you need is -4/3. (you see how I flipped the slope and changed the sign.
