Explain the difference between chromatids and chromatin.

chromatin is all of the dna in the cell, it can be euchromatin or heterochromatin. chromatid is for example the half of the X chromosome

Chromatid is half of a chromosome. Chromatin is the name of the structure binding DNA and histone protein. In euchromatin, transcription is active. In heterochromatin, not.
