I have a question regarding sinusoidal functions

I am typing to write a sine function of the cosine. Number 1 is the cosine function but why arnt the two functions equal. (when i zoom in to the 100ths i can see they are not the same) I thought 1/4 period added to the phase shift gives you the sine functions phase shift but in the graph they appear not to be equal;

I got it I found a quarter from the wrong period It it should have been 263.25 which esxplains why the graphs were different by such a small amount

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

They aren't going to be exactly the same, since the phase shift isn't going to be exactly pi/2 with those rational numbers.
