domain and range

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it said to graph g(x) = 4^x - 2 , then to give the domain and range using interval notation (I suck at those)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

range is max and min value of y and domain is for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

[-2, infinity) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is the range then?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

domain = ( negative infintity , infinity)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are the brackets I put correct? :( im reallyb ad at those

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(-infi , -2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

coz after x=2 y is not defined so only till -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so range = [-2, infinity) domain = (-infi,-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks :)
