3x^2=10x-4

OpenStudy (disco619):

First of all, we will bring the 3x^2 to the right side: \[3x ^{2} = 10x - 4\] \[0 = -3x ^{2} +10x - 4\] Now to factorize it for finding "x" we will use Quadratic Formula: \[0 = ax ^{2} + bx + c\] the value of "x" is given by: \[x = \frac{ -b \pm \sqrt{b ^{2} - 4ac} }{ 2a }\] Now we will substitute values into the above equation: \[x = \frac{ -10 \pm \sqrt{10 ^{2} - 4(-3)(-4)} }{ 2(-3) }\] Now I will leave the Rest to you... I think you should be able to do. Good Luck!
