solve x^2+3x+9=0

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Try factoring. If factoring doesn't work, use the quadratic formula.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

quadratic formula \[x=\frac{ -b \pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac} }{ 2a }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

factoring is pretty easy on this one but you cant go wrong with the good ol quadratic formula

OpenStudy (b87lar):

\[x = \frac{3}{2} (-1\pm i \sqrt{3})\] I don't think some easy factoring works here.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

@perdomo.arturo It can't be factored.
