I need help with an introduction... In what ways did the French and Indian War alter the political, economic, and ideological relations between Britain and its American colonies?
I don't know much about the French and Indian War, but I do know that the colonies relied heavily on Britain for military support. It definitely gave Britain more power over the colonies. It was a few years before the Declaration of Independence was signed and Britain and the colonies went to war. America was ready to be free of Britain's ever tightening control on them, so it impacted American politics and economy to where they didn't have much control over their own colonies. The ideals of America shifted also, wanting more freedom to believe what they wanted, which was something they didn't get back in Britain.
Hope that helps you :)
It did, thank you!
