PLEASE HELP!! Using the properties of exponents, simplify the expression. (2x^3/4)^2*(3x^3/2)^-2

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

\[(2x ^{\frac{ 3 }{ 4 }})^{2}*(3x ^{\frac{ 3 }{ 2 }})^{-2}\] This is what you'll need : \[property 1: (xy)^{a}=x ^{a}y ^{a}\] \[property 2 : (x ^{a})^{b}=x ^{a*b}\] \[property 3 : x ^{a}*x ^{b}=x ^{a+b}\] Use them and tell me what you get.

2^2x^3/2*3^-2x^-3?

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

That's correct ! You can simplify further by getting the two x's together using property 3.
