OpenStudy (anonymous):

both human hunters and animal predators keep prey populations in check but human hunters tend to have a negative effect on the prey gene pool, where animal predators have a positve effect. Why is this so?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Animal predators are more likely to kill off weak or sick prey, whereas humans are UNSTOPPABLE DEATH MACHINES and will kill basically anything that gets in their sights. Humans also tend to remove their kill from the system, whereas the animal predators eat them and their energy remains within the system.

One more q: What are some hunting practices that may affect the quality of a prey species' gene pool.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And how can hunting regulations be modified to correct this problem
