An archer's arrow follows a parabolic path. The path of the arrow can be described by the equation y=-0.005x^2 + 2x + 5. a. Describe the meaning of the y-intercept of the graph of the equation. b. When x is zero y=5 meaning that the arrow started its journey 5 units above the ground. To find where the arrow hits the ground set y equal to zero and solve for x. Since y is the height you would set it equal to zero. Solve for x using the quadratic formula

You'll get two values for x. One is negative but obviously that cannot be the answer since the arrow isn't traveling backwards
