Help me with 2 problems?(attach, and medal)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@BlackLabel i think it is c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm the first one or the second one? Which question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was thinking that its B Ok for starters we know the Domain must be 0 or greater because we cant squareroot a negative number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok now the square root of a postive number is always postive So lets take our smallest number which is 0 cubed root(0)=0 and 0+2=2 So our range is anything greater than 2 Ok I am horrible at explaining this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i understand the range, just the domain i wanted to check

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is B then

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the second may be b too but its -4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its C ok the domain must be greater than 0 Now the squareroot will always be positive so a negative * positive will always be negative The only time it wont is when the sqrt =0 and in that case our f(x) will equal 0 So the range is f(x)< or equal to 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so - 4 does not matter?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the -4 makes it always negative

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the graph will always be negative except by the origin The answer is C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok, i see what you mean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you
