Question

I am wondering if this is a good paraphrase for this stanza from "Paradise Lost"
Did I request thee, Maker, from my clay
To mould me Man? did I solicit thee
From darkness to promote me, or here place
In this delicious garden?
Did I ask you to create me? Did I ask you to give me the knowledge?

I am little concerned about it because I know when you paraphrase things, you must not use word from word from the poem/book.
