where did the only major fighting happen during the cold war

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bay of Pigs in Cuba?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Maybe in Korea. There was a fight between the US and Russia there I think.

OpenStudy (confusionist):

Vietnam, actually! Proxy war! There was extreme warfare. North and South Vietnam fought a huge war and introduced Guerrilla Warfare. If you care to, you can argue that Korea fought with eachother. That's a longshot, though, since they're still fighting today technically. There was some fighting, though, considering there were small back and forth pushes in dispute over the 38th parallel that they split at. The Bay of Pigs could count, I guess, but it was nothing compared to Vietnam and the USSR wasn't as involved as in Vietnam.

Ahh Vietnam; did not know that :)
