When you have two negatives/subtraction signs next to each other you can add opposite, so you just make them both addition signs. So the equation ends up being: 19+8+14, so you do the rest :)

When you distribute a negative into a set of parenthesis, all of the signs will switch (plus becomes minus, minus becomes plus) So the expression turns into $$ 19 + 8 + 14$$
