OpenStudy (ladiesman217):

does any one know and teach me to do slope intercept form equations from standard form?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

use algebra to solve for y

OpenStudy (amistre64):

ax + by = c by = -ax + c y = -(a/b) x + c/b

OpenStudy (ladiesman217):

ok thanks it wasnt in my textbook

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the key is, that since both equations describe the same line, then they are equal to one another. ax + by = c must be able to transform into something that looks like y = mx+k so just "solve for y" and see what develops :)

OpenStudy (ladiesman217):

thanks
