1. Medal Giving to Best Answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What does it mean when scientists say that living organisms share a universal genetic code?

OpenStudy (blues):

In practical terms, all organisms have the same way of storing and processing genetic information. If you took a gene from some odd organism like a bacteria living at a thermal vent at the bottom of the ocean and stuck it into a walrus, for example, that gene would still code for the same protein product that it did in the bacteria.
