Given the binomials (x - 1), (x - 3), (x + 3), and (x + 5), which one is a factor of f(x) = x3 + 6x2 + 12x + 35? (x - 3) (x - 1) (x + 2) (x + 3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am not sure how you are supposed to do this besides checking each factor by division, but \[x^3 + 6x^2 + 12x + 35 =(x+5) (x^2+x+7)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am assuming there is a typo in your answers because \(x+5\) is not a choice, but it is the right one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes there was. THank you!
