"los libros" means "the books" Since "the books" refers to more than one book, it is plural. The singular form refers to only one thing. In this case it's "the book." You need to write in Spanish "the book"

OpenStudy (emmigrace222):

really?. but this Spanish class is very hard for me to understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since los is the male-plural form of "the" and we want to make it singular we just change it to el wich is the male-singular form of "the" and libros is plural because of the s so just take off the s. Then you end up with el libro. Hope this helps

OpenStudy (emmigrace222):

oh thanks :) that did!
