Find the line of symmetry for the parabola whose equation is y = 2x 2 - 4x + 1.

If you plot that equation you can see that x = 1 is the line of symmetry. You can also rewrite that equation as \[2(x-1)^2-1\]If you do that, you can set x-1 = 0 to find that x=1 is the line of symmetry.
