What is the equation of the line that passes through the points (-2, 3) and (2, 7)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x - y = -1 x - y = -2 x - y = - 5 x - y = - 6

OpenStudy (zpupster):

line equation is y = mx+b point-slope equation= y-y1=m(x-x1) slope is 1 from m=y2-y1/x2-x1 so we have one(x,y)) (-2,3) y-3= 1(x-(-2) = y-3 = x+2 rearranging -5 = x-y

OpenStudy (zpupster):

try it with the ordered pair now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer is x-y=-5?

@zpupster

OpenStudy (zpupster):

yes

thank you so much : )
