7y-1=2y+6-2

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

add like terms subtract 2y from both sides add 1 to both sides divide both sides by 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7y - 1 = 2y + 6 - 2 -7y -7y -1 = -5y + 6 - 2 -1 = -5y + 4 -4 -4 -5 = -5y -5/-5 = -5y/-5 1 = y

thx

No problem :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7y - 2y = 6 -2 + 1 5y = 5 y =1 :) Bringing like terms onto one side and calculating is much eaiser ;) :P
