@BetoRodriguez13 you want to be banned for cheating?
FOR CHEATING
@hartnn @phi
cheating?
yeh.... when you give out answer to someone's assignment, homework or exam, that's cheating
OH see i didnt know my bad :( @nincompoop
ok you didnt let me reply i was gonna ask how he got it so please dont start stuff wait until i respond or something
if studying is that easy, then everyone would get an A and even professors can do what he's done, give the answer during exam and hand out the solution how those answers came about.
i wasnt andking for the answer ok i always ask for an explanation
im sorry ok @$boricua
@BetoRodriguez13 sorry for what dont be thank you :)
I didn't say you were asking for answer, I am merely telling you how this is a form of cheating
ok for some people it might be i completely understand thanks for commenting on this i appreciate it :)
@nincompoop
if someone handed you an answer to your homework or exam, whether it is right or wrong and whether there's an explanation or not, it is cheating. this is why we learn the concepts and do a lot of work to practice on them
then why did they make this site huh? so people could get explanations! on somethinfg they dont understand
copiarse
this site is to help go over those concepts as if it was another lecture, and maybe in a slower pace or more in-depth. but not to work on someone's homework
it is openstudy, not domyhomework
ok well i use it differently in my opinion is to show me how to understand something i dont, and if your talkin about other people that use for that then tell them not me
during lectures, there may be gaps in learning, this can be filled by reading books, and the same can be said about reading books, there are gaps still and that is where this website comes in. fill the gaps
ok i look up stuff i don't have books for math class i learn better from other people explaining and showing work then the teacher
see here's the problem about learning most would skip the explanation and take the answer, then ask more problems to be "solved and explained" of the same concept
books provide you a majority of the rudimentary needed for learning, the professors and teachers fill and help you understand those that you cannot, and if somehow that is still insufficient, we would give a different problem of the same concept and go over what is difficult to comprehend
i wasnt gonna skip the explanation i was gonna ask so can you please stop assuming stuff, again if its not about me dont tell me because i already know tell the people that are doing it
I didn't say you were... :) I was merely pointing out that handing you the answer is cheating
when someone gives you the answer, don't trust it. it could be wrong even with a worked out explanation. :P
well yeah i guess is it i don't find it cheating if they aren't asking for an explanation
i mean if they are asking for an explanation i get it sometimes it can be wrong but they might lead you to an idea of how to solve it
some people do ask for an explanation, but it defeats the purpose of learning because the answer is already handed out. the brain (the person) then becomes lazy, because he or she didn't go through the process of figuring out
again some people give an explanation which leads to the answer
but the thing is if the answer is not provided and perhaps if another problem is used as an example, it would be more efficient in learning. this way if you didn't get it, it can be detected easily
you're defending a flawed position... I am telling you this is not how learning works
how do i know? I look at the history of asked question even with explanations, you wouldn't learn much, because a lot of math has something to do with something similar to building blocks. you learn a little more complex concept from another simpler concept and it builds up.
ive actually learned from explanations here it works different for other people is not the same for everyone
then how come you didn't know how to solve this problem? you've asked this and similar concepts in the past
the last person didnt give me an explanation
