Use the key of 1 square = 2 feet for your top view picture. What would be the actual perimeter and area of your building? Actual perimeter: Actual area:

OpenStudy (cggurumanjunath):

count the number of boxes in the shaded region which gives your area ! @luka1998

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@CGGURUMANJUNATH what about the perimeter ?

@SolomonZelman help plz

OpenStudy (cggurumanjunath):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@CGGURUMANJUNATH the area=110 p=50 right ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@esshotwired

OpenStudy (esshotwired):

the area is 108 and the perimeter is 46

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@esshotwired how?/?

OpenStudy (esshotwired):

all of the boxes in the shapes equal 108 and that is the area. then count how many boxes are along the edge of the shapes for the perimeter.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ah thx

OpenStudy (esshotwired):

for the 3rd part the ratio for the area and perimeter would be 1:2 so pretty much just multiply the area and perimeter by 2 to get the actual area and actual perimeter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

p=46*2=92 a=108*2=216

OpenStudy (esshotwired):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thx can u help in another question that i will post ?

OpenStudy (esshotwired):

sure
