\[4\sec ^{2}x-2=0,\] where the domain is between 0 and 540 degrees.
I keep getting an error, but am unsure if I'm supposed to or not! Thanks!
sec^2x = 0.5 sec x = +/- sqrt5 cos x = +/- 1 / sqrt5
Where does the square root 5 come from?
oh sorry - thats my mistake- its square root of 0 .5

thats +/- (1/0.7071) which will not give you an answer since the range of the cosine of an angle is bet see -1 and 1
so there are no real roots to this equation
