|x-3|<5 you sat it up like this, x-3<5 or x-3<-5 x<8 or x<-2

the confusing part is checking, DON"T PLUG IN -2 or 5 plug in something that is less then -2 or 5

hmm not to be disagreeable, but it is "and" not "or"

\[|x-3|<5\\ -5<x-3<5\] add 3 all the way across and get \[-2<x<8\]
