both sides times -3 and flip the sign
s≤-18
|dw:1386729774929:dw|
OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):
-S/3 > 6
multiply both sides by -3
Because your multiplying by a negative you flip the sign. (this applies to both division and multiplication.
so: s < -18
because its less than or equal to, the dot is shaded in.

Thanks. I have one more.

Graph the solution set to the inequality.
OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):
Ok, same thing. what is -2 * 9
A negative + negative = positive
positive + positive = positive
negative + positive = negative
keep in mind that when you multiply by a negative or divide you flip the sign.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok
OpenStudy (anonymous):
-2 • 9 = -18
OpenStudy (the_fizicx99):
Yes. Now we flip the what..?
