2 is the upper limit of the Bottom Quartile

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh so it will be 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the ending is a quartile

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Quartiles are fourths. Each quartile is 1/4 of the range. Box and Whisker defines nicely the Quartiles. The box defines the two middle quartiles. The whiskers define the upper and lower quartiles. Don't guess. Identify the upper quartile.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

How do you define quartiles? Is it always by the upper bound?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i define quartiles as the last number i think

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Except for those last two words, I would have believed you. Be sure! Is that how they are defined by your teacher, textbook, or other course materials?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait a minute its 10 lol you

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

That's better. I like to think of it as the score you have to beat to get into the quartile. If you want your score to be in the upper quartile, you must beat 10!!

Hehe
