Average of 364 licks to get to the center of the tootsie pop licking from only one side constantly using a machine.

Average of 252 licks to get to the center, again only licking from one side, but with real tongues.

3481 licks to reach the center.

Child reporting that it took them about 600 licks to reach the center.

If you lick from one side then the other and so on, then 508 licks to reach the center.
