HELP!! WILL GIVE MEDAL!! A steel mill has fixed costs of $100 per hour and variable costs of $50 per hour. What will happen to these costs if the mill closes? A. Both fixed and variable costs will remain the same. B. The mill will have no fixed costs or variable costs. C. The fixed costs will decrease, but the variable costs will increase. D. The variable costs will drop, but the fixed costs will stay the same. I think the answer is B. If the mill closes then they want have any costs. But I am not too sure..

I think its A but this website says D…. http://www.weegy.com/?ConversationId=F5364F44

@sir.dude weegy is not reliable at all.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol yes it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@angel12310 how did you get D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sir.dude a lot of times it has given me the wrong answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D. The variable costs will drop, but the fixed costs will stay the same. The variable costs will essentially drop to zero because the mill will be operating for zero hours. However the fixed costs will remain the same, as the steel mill must have opened before it can close.

@angel12310 I understand now. Thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

welcome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sir.dude it is ignorant to try to keep trying to show that you are right. Weegy is answered by people just like you and me; therefore, at times people answer it incorectly. I do not use Weegy because it is an unreliable source. You get one answer, one opinon and that is it. One here I find the correct answer and get the reason as to why it is right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):
