Please help, i don't understand this concept at all... Will give medal to best help Proportions The scale between the model of the Capitol Building and real thing is 1:20. If the real Statue of Freedom is 19’6” tall, how tall is the statue on the model? If the height of the model is 7 feet, what is the height of the real capitol?

They said the answers are: 11.7 inches; 140 feet. I just don't get how they solved the problem...

Hello, We'll the ratio is telling you that the real objects are 20 times bigger than the model. So, for the second question, all you have to do is multiply the height of the model by 20. The answer is clearly 140. Now the second question is a little different, because you must divide instead of multiply . ALSO, you must convert to inches before trying to decide.
