Okay, so the first question is, "what's a real number"? Any thoughts?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in my book it said any number on the number line

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

Great! A real number is an rational or irrational number. That means it can be a whole number like 1,2, -2, -4, or a number like pi, 2.444757, or any decimal number. Nearly any number you can think of can be classified as a real number. (The two things a real number is NOT is a the square root of -1 (which is a imaginary number) and infinity.)

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

But the question wants us to find the real number between \[1\frac{ 4 }{ 7 } and 1\frac{ 5}{ 7 }\]

OH MY GOSH IM SO SORRY! THIS QUESTION WAS A TOTAL BRAIN FART! I LEARNED THIS YESTERDAY! SORRY! I JUST REMEMBERED!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THE ANSWER WAS 1 9/14

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):

OpenStudy (pixiedust1):
